I Can Sing! (Can't I?)

If laughter is what you're after, you will be rolling in the aisles at I Can Sing! (Can't I?). This hilarious musical comedy is written by Thunder Bay playwright, Jo-Ann Waytowich. It's an evening filled with side splitting comic-fun!

Ivanka and Marucia are national heroines from the fictional country of Slobjev. These two zany twin sisters, dressed in fashionable polyester, are introducing Canadians to music, from Broadway to folk, opera to oratorio, Ivanka tackles it all. This hilarious look at music is fun for all ages. With much added participation from the audience, the escapades of Ivanka, a domineering know-it-all opera diva, will have you splitting your sides with laughter.

I Can Sing! (Can't I?) debuted at Magnus Theatre in Thunder Bay, Ontario, breaking box office records. Since then it has toured across Canada, gaining fans along the way.

"It's two hours of off-the-wall, high-powered entertainment. And if you're not already brain dead, you'll laugh. Trust me. I'm not talking furtive little chuckles here. I'm talking big ones, body-wracking belly laughs that shake you up a little."
-- Hamilton Spectator - March 1 2001

"Waytowich knows her music and she has a lovely classically trained voice... Her humour hits you in the gut (or lower) as she gleefully tortures the English language."
-- Robert Reid, Kitchener, ON - Nov 24, 1999
